AcceptRemote: Acceptance of Remote Operations for Future Mobility

  • Duration: May 2026 — Apr 2029

AcceptRemote places Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) at the core of its design, ensuring that technological innovations in remote operations are co-created with and for society. The project develops a Societal Readiness Framework and methodology embedding inclusiveness, trust, cultural adaptation, and gender sensitivity. It demonstrates remote operations through three pilots: RideCare (passenger transport for vulnerable groups), LogiCare (autonomous logistics with single-operator fleet supervision), and FlexiCare (integrated people and goods transport).

Technical innovations include AI-powered predictive communication frameworks, generative scenario tools, and multi-agent fleet coordination. The initiative produces operational guidelines combining technical specifications with societal acceptance criteria, establishes safety validation methodologies aligned with EU frameworks, and creates economically viable business models demonstrating operational efficiency gains and emission reductions.

The AcceptRemote project has received funding from the European Union’s HORIZON-CL5-2025 under Grant Agreement No. 101269278 (Research and Innovation Action).
